Mom of 3rd Culture Kids

My daily experiences, joys and challenges in motherhood and being a mom of 3rd culture kids…

Just Asking

There were a few car and trucks display at the mall the other day. Our family was curiously looking at the beautiful car and trucks interior all complete with trucking gps system . We have been desiring to change our car since it has already been giving us problems. But honestly, we haven’t saved up for it yet. But anyways, my Hubby was curious and asked the salesperson if they allow foreigners to buy at an instalment plan. The lady said it is possible as long as we have work permit and all the proper documents. So, she asked for Hubby’s number and said she will call to give out all the details. Hubby gave his number. And today we got a call from her and convincing us to buy the car. Opppsss… we were actually just asking….

He Has Turned 4!

My li’l boy has just turned 4 years old!  Oh, he was so excited for his celebration during Sunday School at church! It was our first time to celebrate our kids’ birthday in Sunday School. We usually have the celebration in our house and invite the neighbors. So this time, we thought we would change it a bit and invite the kids at church. The kids really had great fun especially with the presence of  ”Spiderman’ and ‘Batman’. :)

Here are a few of the photos during the celebration.

Our Homeschooler’s Need

Being a homeschooling mom sure is a challenge. That’s why I am so grateful for a secret group in facebook among homeschooling moms which I am a member of. It has helped me get so many resources and materials aside from the ones that we are currently using. Homeschooling takes a lot of creativity on my part. Since Tricia could sometimes be lonely without classmates, I have to make each activity as interesting as possible.

I am thinking of getting refurbished laptop computers for Tricia to use. Our boy would be homeschooled not long from now so a computer would be helpful for their activities together. But as always we have to put some limits on the use of computers and stuff.
