When my kids went on a motorbike ride with Hubby the other time, they saw a street kid . Our kids seemed so curious and asked a lot of questions about the boy that Hubby had to explained to them the hard life that a street kid lives.
When they came back home, my li’l boy hurriedly reported to me what they saw. At the end of his ‘narrative’, he asked me if we could let his ‘friend’ ( the street kid) live in our house and if he could give away his toys for him. My daughter easily agreed on his little brother’s suggestion and before I could say, yes , they were already on the way t o their room to sort out the toys they want to give out. Oh, my heart just swells up knowing that my kids care for others . I’m also glad that they can easily let go of their favorite toys so that other children will also have a chance to play with it. At one instances, there was one toy that my daughter wants to give out to the children in the village that was a bit expensive. I could still remember the exact amount of that toy when it passed through the barcode scanner. I also know that it’s one of her favorites. So, I had to ask a couple of times if she’s sure to give that away. And she said yes… And now, it’s the mom who is quite reluctant to give away that ‘expensive’ toy. But on the other hand, I’m sure no amount of money can pay for the happiness that the gift can bring to someone who doesn’t have anything much.
