Mom of 3rd Culture Kids

My daily experiences, joys and challenges in motherhood and being a mom of 3rd culture kids…

Healthy Family

One of my goals for the next few months is to be more conscious on our family’s health. We’ve already made Mondays as our family exercise day when we would go to the stadium for a run. Now, I just need to put more effort  in meal planning and preparation. I know that most of the time, it’s easier to opt for the ‘instant meals’, but this we know is not good for our health. Meals like these are heavy on calories but low in nutrition. These are actually my favorite food, so I guess that’s why I need Lipofuze to take away my extra pounds. :)

Anyways, being healthy is indeed a great investment for the future so, I hope I could invest well…

Astronaut and Policeman

A photo we took from Petrosains, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

If you ask my son what he wants to be when he grows up, he would say he wants to be an astronaut and a policeman. What a combination huh? He actually got interested in becoming an astronaut after our trip to Petrosains ( science discovery center). Then a few weeks after that, he also received a book on Space exploration from a friend. But I’m not so sure where he got the idea of becoming a policeman, it must be from cartoons.

I know his career choice will change when he grows up. Whether he wants to be a Houston Truck Accident Attorney or a teacher, anything is okay for me. As long as he is happy with his career and enjoys what he does. Oh, why am I thinking of this now? My boy still has a long way to go before he choose a profession.

Buddies

I was amused watching my li’l ones this evening. They were playing their own version of  ‘table hockey’ and they were just giggling and laughing at themselves. The ex ‘Tom and Jerry’ has become buddies now. Of course, they still have a lot of  Tom and Jerry moments but I’m relieved that they are more peaceful now than they were before.

I just hope that the next few weeks, there won’t be any fights between them. But I guess that’s wishful thinking since it’s really just normal for siblings to fight and have their own moments, right?
